This book includes useful tips and tricks for the configuration and operation of the fabulous Icom IC-7300 MK2 transceiver. Rather than duplicate the manuals which describe each button, function, and control, I have used a more functional approach. This is a “how to do it” book written for hams by a real licensed amateur radio operator. The original IC-7300, released in 2016, created something of a revolution in the amateur radio world. Icom provided the advantages of SDR technology in a format that was familiar for users of their earlier transceivers. Most importantly the IC-7300 included many features that were previously only available on much more expensive radios. It was excellent value for money and highly successful with more than 100,000 transceivers sold worldwide. Of course, “being first” inevitably leads to a need to update the radio to keep it relevant in today’s amateur radio market. The IC-7300 MK2 provides some extra features and significant performance improvements.
